About Chandigarh
Chandigarh is one of the foremost planned metropolises in post-independence India. It is internationally known for its planned infrastructure and civic design. It is first planned present-day town of India which was designed by the French Architect Le Corbusier. It serves as common capital of Punjab and Haryana besides being a Union Territory. It is surrounded by Punjab from West and South, by Haryana from East.
